This beginner-friendly course is designed for child care owners, directors, and administrators with little to no website experience who want to create a simple yet effective website using Wix. Participants will learn the basics of setting up a Wix website, choosing the right template, adding essential content, and publishing their site with confidence. Some basic technical skills needed! Course Meets virtually Via Zoom - Thursday, February 27, 2025 5pm-8pm Course Objectives: By the end of this course, participants will be able to: *Understand the Importance of a Website – Recognize how a website helps attract families and build credibility. *Set Up a Wix Account – Create and navigate a Wix account to begin building a website. *Choose and Customize a Template – Select a child care-friendly template and make basic customizations. *Create Essential Pages – Add and edit key pages such as Home, About, Programs, and Contact. *Add Basic Features – Learn how to insert images, text, buttons, and contact forms. *Publish and Manage the Website – Launch the website and understand basic updates and maintenance.
