About

“A Time to Exhale” is designed for child care providers to develop strategies for recognizing, managing, and alleviating stress for themselves and the children in their care. Participants will explore various dimensions of stress, its effects, and practical strategies to promote well-being. The course emphasizes self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience-building for child care providers, helping them manage their own stress and that of the children they care for. Course Learning Objectives: By the end of this course, participants will be able to: • Understand the effects of stress on themselves and the children in their care. • Recognize signs of stress and implement early intervention strategies. • Identify unique stressors related to child care roles. • Apply stress-reducing techniques, including evidence-based strategies for coping. • Differentiate between emotional and physical stress and tailor interventions accordingly. • Develop anger management skills, including emotional regulation and conflict resolution.
